Default Cessna Citation Floatplane

Saw this lately. Ugh. Cessna Citation off runway into water. Long video but interesting. Link to accident report on the page with the video. I apologize in advance if this is a repost.

That is NOT the way you're supposed to water wash an engine.

I get why he went in the water, but why did he power up? Or was anyone in there when it happened? I read the Report, it didntmention anything about it.

There was a short in the electrical, and I'm not sure if it's FADEC or not, but once it saw the start sequence, it went from there.

Thats crazy! I didnt know what to think. That is the first time I have ever saw a biz jet motoring around in the water. Maybe their would be a market for such a plane?

We've had it here for about year:

Probably would have had a much different outcome had he landed into the wind. Still on that runway, there was very little margin for error.
