Default Merry Christmas

I just want to say, "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays."

Nothing else. No talk of airlines going out of business, furloughs/recalls, who stole what flying, mergers, etc.

Let's just take this time to wish each other (most of which are pilots like you and I or otherwise affiliated with the industry) some old-fashioned goodwill. Enjoy the views if you are flying over the holidays (I am). Have fun with your temporary family (your crew). If you are privileged enough to make a little more than the rest of your crew - treat them. Buy them a cup of coffee or a muffin in the morning.

And - if you see another one of us in the aiport (regardless of who you work for), say, "Hi" this Christmas. Shake a hand. We may not be with our blood relations this holiday, but we are still with family (pilots, flight attendandts, gate agents, etc).

Let's put the fighting and namecalling aside - at least for one day.

Best wishes to all. Fly safe. And...

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all of us who will be roaming the terminals during these holidays, and a happy new year. Nothing like spending Christmas with the ground agents.

Very well written opening statement. Thank you for posting and thinking about your peers during the holiday season. I am lucky enough to spend it on a trip to Milan, and have so far had a blast. The entire crew, and their families that joined us, are all going out for dinner tonight. Should be a blast. Godspeed to our fourloughed brothers and merry christmas to all.

Merry Christmas everyone. This thread is an excellent idea!

Question:
Anyone want to guess how many times tower/ground/center/TRACON here's "Merry Christmas" today? Would be an interesting poll....

Fly safe everyone, and watch your TCAS for Santa!
