Future hopes
#1
We have had a few threads looking at how things were going in the past year, so I thought I would ask the question about the upcoming year.
Where do you see yourself - or where do you HOPE to see yourself - at the end of 2009?

Just hoping to tread water in 2009 because the economy is not out of the water yet. I came an awful long way to get where I am now, and if you knew all the things I went through to get where I am you would say this man came too far to fall down now. But if things go south in the next few months, and they very well may due to the economy, I will have no regrets about that. Success was as sweet as it should have been and the taste is worth the sacrifice.
In my younger years I endured zero degree winters with no heat, heard the call of wolves at my door, longed for a way to get through winter snow, and felt the cold of a world where I had no name. I found a loneliness in a life that had no choice and taught me that success was really better. As a corollary know that it is all the same. Given a choice prefer success, but be not the chooser.

Where do I see myself at the end of '09?
Safely through another season of AK flying, with all my pieces still attached, a small measure of sanity, and a few more bills paid.
It would be nice if in addition to the above, I'm sitting on the hypothetical beach near the equator drinking cheap drinks with paper umbrellas in them, alongside a funny, well-read, amorous twin of Cate Blanchett or Sandra Bullock who can teach me to surf.
We'll see!

Great question USMC.
At the end of 2009, I hope be finished with all my initial flight training....MEI and all; instructing and on the verge of being offered my first gig sitting right seat (switch flipper) on a Beechcraft King Air 350 here in Florida somewhere...preferably in SE Florida.
In addition, I hope to be in a position to start the journey of becoming an effective and life changing priest in and for the Episcopal Church. God knows we need it. No pun intended.

I hope to add another 600-700+ incident free hours to my logbook, in addition to buying a house, and if enough money is left-over getting a new truck(you know, to stimulate the economy!!!)
