Wow this thing just keeps going! Now it's been reported he had a motorcycle stashed in a storage unit, and obviously it's gone, and his damp clothes are on the floor.

I just got a call from ABC news, sent it up to my boss, but I guess there's a slim chance we'll be on TV.........oh how interesting this could be.

Some new info.

Charges Filed As Marshals Search For Indiana Businessman - Indiana News Story - WRTV Indianapolis

Some funny aviation information in there. It talks about the Meridian "losing cabin pressure" and possible hypoxia after a windscreen breech at 2000 feet. Hot dang the media is stupid.

Were there really military JETS sent to intercept him? One report said something about them reporting the cabin door open and the cockpit dark, but I wonder if they were jets or T-34s from NAS Whiting

He's in Custody. Check any news channel in a little bit. Just caught it on TV that he was located in a Campground with self-inflicted wounds and has been transported to a local hospital.

I don't know, the first Yahoo news video showed F-35's taking off.

F-22s actually
Well...who knows - I was trying to imagine a Hornet flying along beside it. I have no idea how fast a Meridian would be cruising. Any ideas out there? I hear they are sporty airplanes.

At altitude, it'll do 175kias, which is around 265KTAS. The flightaware ground track had it doing 125gs @ 4000', so he had around 500lbs of torque for the power setting. Yes they are fun planes to fly, but are limited by weight/fuel, so range can be an issue past 600nm.

Well we did do the news, my coworker got the face time, but I gave america the finger! It was my finger doing the AP and the GPS footage! I'm not suprised by how much they didn't use, but the only thing that really ticked me off was the Saratoga guy they flew with out in California! He's comparing apples to oranges, and really had no facts on anything. Talking about supplemental O2 and the fact the door would've been really hard to open.

abcnews.com/nightline is where you can find it, about 6:00 vid.
