I just finished off a Skinny Dip, and you're right...damn good...Fat Tire as well. Widmer Brothers of Portland, OR always has some good stuff.

I used to be of the school of though that Budweiser and any commercial beers are worth a drink. Now, I just pour one of em in a pot of Chilli and crack a cold homebrew, microbrew or awesome import.

NewCastle Brown Ale is a very unique non-commercial yet commercial beer. If I had to drink a commercial beer, thats going to be it. Maybe it has to do with the fact that Brian Johnson of AC/DC is from Newcastle. I'd like to start a new rule of thumb: "If it's good enough for AC/DC, it's damn well good enough for me."

Have a Drink of Me!

No one mentioned Sam Adams? Sam Adams makes five or six great variations of their beer. Their Oktober Fest is probably best.

Last time I was in Ireland, the most popular beer was Budweiser. The grass is always greener. Go figure!

It's just like Foster's here...it's the Budweiser of Austrailia.

AHHHH pearl, the first beer I ever drank...
alas she is gone and I have moved on to her younger cousin, twice removed... SHINER BOCK!
get some, great summer beer.
all of shiner's beers are nice, but the Bock is the one that tickles my whistle.
adios

But there's no comparison between Shiner Bock and Pearl. The Bock is great. I remember regular Shiner used to be dirt cheap. (Long before micro brews). Then the micro brew craze starts and they change the name to Shiner Blonde and charge premium prices.
