I stole this from another blog site in reference to the VC-25 overlying the Statue of Liberty and I think it is awesome. Mod's please note, I deleted the language BEFORE your filters did ... so don't hate.

...... wussy people."

- 3 planeloads of people let 5 men armed with hand tools take over airplanes - because that's what they've been told to do. As soon as the 4th planeload of people find out how they've been lied to, they take action and save many more lives.

- Hundreds of students cower under desks waiting be rescued from 1 man with 2 handguns, and the only person to do ANYTHING is an octogenarian who gets killed for his efforts to protect the strong, healthy, 18-22 year old "adults" hiding in fear. The most played interview is of a young man who was simply waiting to die. He is called "heroic".

- A man starts shooting in an immigrant center, and police take 45 minutes to enter the building, while people hide like scared rabbits waiting to be rescued. The police state that their response time was irrelevant - the victims would have died anyway.

Oh yes, we have reached the point where helplessness is considered noble, where former soldiers are considered security risks because the government trained them to kill, and the people whose "job" it is to protect us simply shrug their shoulders and pick up the bodies.

Wussies doesn't really cover it.

That video is so disappointing.

Another note .

I just got off the phone with Fred and he informed me that those who needed to know did know and that includes the CIC on down the line and to have some of them tell the public otherwise is a falsehood.
How can people mistake this a/c for anything other than what it is ?

Had that Aircraft not been in New York, that money still would have been spent burning up the pattern at Andrews. Give it a rest with your false outrage, no money was wasted.

Not trying to call you out USMC or take your comments out of context, but large, successful Fortune 500 companies pride themselves in their ability to maximize their profits while minimizing their productions costs/overhead. I think our Government could learn a thing or two from these types of companies.

You'll never tell me that our gov't has adequate oversight and hear an argument out of me! You are absolutely right about being thrifty and not being rewarded for it; but rather in danger of being shorted on the next year's budget! I've been guilty of turning gas into noise for no other reason than to make sure that said agency/organization met the required expenditure.

I don't take your comments as "calling me out" Deadhead. You'll notice that I haven't approved or disapproved of the said photo op. My comments were directed at the security issue and the issue of our actions being determined by past events - and I'm talking about everything here from photo ops, to taking liquids on an aircraft, or more than the 3-1-1 rule, or where a container ship can travel safely with/without security teams on board.
