Default cape cod

anyone know of a good airport to fly into on Cape Cod that provides good service, as well as reasonable access to the beaches and restaurants, etc.

Default Katama 1B2

Fly out to Katama 1B2 out on the Vineyard. They have three grass strips all well maintained plus they let you park right on the beach.. They also have a restaraunt on the field. During the summer in MA. this is the place to be..

I go to HYA for avionics. Griffin is nice, friendly staff and will call a cab as soon as you call them on the unicom. Cabs were generally good though if you get Dicks Cab service, the guy is a little strange. A lot nice restarants. Mitchells was my favorite for Prime Rib. Though they went out of business, the Black Cat is my new favorite. Right on the waterfront. If your looking for beaches, (PVC) Provinctown. Used to bring the girls from H.S. down there. Its actually pretty cool, you walk over the sandune and your at the beach at the tip of Cape Cod. I have seen a few jets down there and they have a nice ILS. Not much of an FBO though. Oh, and of course there is always ACK.

I've been to HYA also.

Nice towered airport with 2 runways and various instrument approaches. If I remember correctly, there is a good size mall within 5 minutes of the grounds.

Yeah there is mall back there with a ton of restarants. Just go through the parking lot @ griffin through the picketted fence and you end up coming out behind McDonalds. There is a picnic bench right behind the fence where I have spent many hours sitting waiting for airplanes eating those Mcflurries ice cream things from Mcdonalds.
