Blackpowder!

Since no one responds to your rants I will.
I haven't tried black powder. I always thought about trying it here because it is much easier to draw a pronghorn tag that way. I used to sell them like crazy when I worked for Cabelas but years ago when I was doing that, guys always complained about 2-3 shots and then they had to clean them. Instead I bought a Bow and have done that ever since.
I dont like cleaning.
What are you shooting?

that's it I am replying... I use a flintlock 50 cal for whitetail flintlock season, which is early season, and follow it up with my centerline TC Omega for Late season whitetail. I have yet to get a blackpowder kill, a bow has been more suitable for my hunting area. PS french flints kickass

In PA there is a flintlock only season, that usually coincides with an archery season, I have misspoken, I am getting my license tomorrow, it is late season...from the PA game commission
DEER, ANTLERED OR ANTLERLESS FLINTLOCK (Statewide): Dec. 26-Jan. 9. One antlered per hunting license year, or one antlerless deer and an additional antlerless deer with each required antlerless license.
You need a muzzie tag regardless which season you go for.... early inline or late flintlock
as opposed to when I would use my inline
DEER, ANTLERLESS MUZZLELOADER (Statewide): Oct. 17-24. An antlerless deer with each required antlerless license.
If I haven't tagged out I go out in the woods with my flint, or bow which happened two years ago

SKS is a great gun, i have a paratrooper and a "normal" both Norincos, now i spend the gun allowance on Chinese Ak's I have a Norinco 56s-1, still saving up for the Polytech legend, so many to buy so little time and money.
Mossin nagants are fun and dirt cheap.
