Default Hercules C-130

Last Friday a Hercules C-130 in civilian colors flew over my house at about 500'. It continued traveling in a straight course at low lever and at what appeared to be cruse speed. I watched it for at least ten miles as it crossed the valley. Eventually as it reached the mountains it turned to follow a valley well below the ridge tops.

It has a tan paint job with what appeared to be dark brown trim. Does anyone know who the operator could be or what its mission was? I can't imagine that it was a fire tanker. They were way to low to be maneuvering with a load of retardant.

I bet it was a Hawkins and Powers C-130.

I believe the only non tanker operator in the US is Lynden and their's are white with green trim.
