How does one correct an airplane that is dutch rolling with the yaw damper inop?

A generally accepted method in the jet transport is: To correct a dutch roll motion you should apply a sharp ( firm, but not big ) aileron input towards the upcoming wing (in and out,don't keep it). Then again, if necessary. It is not advised to use rudder to correct dutch roll, the roll is much more visible than the yaw, so easier to correct.

Dont forget, you can always slow down and/or descend to stop the gyration. I have actually test flown a 727 with the yaw dampers off and it does work as advertised
