Default A Thank You to John and Paul

Howdy all,

Many folks who frequent Airline Pilot Central do not remember the days when gathering all the information APC has took either hours upon hours of time in a library or around $100 (10 hours of flight instructing) paid to a certain company. And the information we got in those days was often a year old. Thanks to APC and John and Paul in particular, we have current, up to date information on most if not all 121 carriers and several large 135 carriers.

I know many folks grumble about the advertisements that have been added to APC, but added download time is a small price to pay for the fantastic information this site has to offer.

So, to the two men who took the time to help out us newcomers, THANK YOU!

Respectfully and appreciatively yours,
JSH

Yes; many thanks! The ads are actually a pretty decent source of cheap thrills, too

To be honest I do not even notice the ads anymore.

And yes...I came on this site as a private pilot with 80 hours and this site saved me a lot of headache and leg work.

....and as usual, George and Ringo -the lesser known members of the group- sulk off in the corner, unrecognized for their contributions by yet another poster..

I went to Catholic school from kindergarten to college and never heard of St. Ringo before or any apostle named George.

Seriously though, I am not an airline pilot, but have found this place most helpful in other ways. This community is growing and it is the people and connections and contributions and friendships made here that will sustain us into the future.

Thanks JSH and everyone else!

It's been a blast developing APC and APC Forums with Paul. I think APC's success is due to offering our fellow pilots everything for free, keeping the user interface extremely simple and clean, having the forums look and be better organized than our competition (and stay free), and not allowing the forum to be a big food fight (yes we still face struggles on that!).

The payscales, airline profiles, and these forums are filled in 99.9% by you guys posting and submitting updates to APC. Trust me, Paul and I don't spend our days off seeking out information on over 100 airlines.

Even though Paul and I sold APC to Internet Brands, we're still a part of this awesome community of pilots. We think IB made a great decision in allowing pilots to still "run" this place.

If you ever have ideas for improving APC, drop me or Paul (HSLD) a Private Message. As we never want this place to become "fat, dumb, and happy!"
