I'll try to post em up here when I get off this trip...

WWII era weapons are neat. It's interesting to see the differences in the various countries. German guns were very well made compared to the American models (ever seen a grease gun?). However, in the end they couldn't keep up with our industrial might.
The Japaneese had some wild designs and they came in a rediculous number of different calibers. Many experts consider that, and their use of unsealed rounds (ours were coated to prevent corrosion) to be two of the biggest reasons they lost the war. History has a great series which I belive is called "The History of the Gun". It was made back in the 90s but every now and then they show it. Well worth it if you're even moderately interested in firearms. |
Curious if anyone is buying more of these because of "THE ONE"? I have:cool:

I called the store near Ft. Campbell that I bought mine at, and they said they had all versions of the M and P for 571.00 plus tax. So there you have it.
You near FTCKY? My mere collection: CZ-75 9mm (made in Czechoslovakia not the Czech Republic) Springfield Armory .45 Custom Walther PPK/S .380 Savage .17 HMR |

. Awww, but you are forgetting about the M1 Garand. Very well made and credited with much. Germans had bolt action infantry rifles in the emerging era of semi-autos. |
