Sadly, there are still Captains out there who think this is acceptable...

Do you mean that there are Captains out there who think that their getting slapped in the face is acceptable? Or do you mean that there are Captains out there that think that they are actually in command of the aircraft? Which is it? Inquiring minds want to know.

JJ,
Your right with the engineer stating a problem and the FO recognizing it, John Wayne should have called out "go around" and hoped the capt. responded to it.

John Wayne never would have played a copilot. He obviously is an LCA.

Obviously that crew was AFU. The "engineer" was actually a navigator who was probably lost, while the "first officer", Mr. John Wayne wasn't wearing his seat belt. It's no wonder that the "captain", Robert Stack, decided to go down. Hell, with help like those two, it's surprising that anyone survived.

How dare you defame Captain Rex Kramer with a lower case 'c'. Btw, RIP Capt. Oveur.

Does anyone have the video or link showing the second officer flipping off the captain? I believe it was created by Northwest Airlines years ago. It showed the right way and the wrong way for crews to work together. It was hilarious to watch in ground school.
