Default good apartments to rent in N. VA

Guys / Gals,

Living and working out of the Northern Va / DC area- please PM or post your suggestion for good appartments for a 2-3 year stay in DC area.

I just got hit with a tour at the Pentagon and can't afford to buy...

Thanks,
LAFF

Woodbridge, VA is very affordable and a straight shot to the Pentagon but I'd recommend using the HOV lanes for that commute... which means either slugging (picking people up in order to use the HOV lanes http://www.slug-lines.com/ ) or having a hybrid engine.
good luck

Whereever you end up renting, DON'T rent from a property owned by LERNER MANAGEMENT. We lived there for 4 years and all they did was nickel and dime us, particularly when we moved out.

Don't know what your range is, but you might be better off looking at a rental house in one of the farther suburbs (of course the commute sucks more).

Arlington, Falls Church, Springfield, Alexandria all might be good places to look, but make sure that you do a bit of research too, as there are some less than desirable neighborhoods.

If you want, PM me and I'd be happy to chat about the DC area. Maybe once you get settled in we can meet up for a beer sometime- I make it up to DC about once or twice a month to visit friends.
