Default Ray "The" LaHood!

When an airline cancels a flight, passengers will be in the airport terminal with access to alternatives, LaHood said.
Passengers “can rent a car and drive to wherever they need to go, or they can rebook their flight, or they can go to a motel,” LaHood said in an interview. “None of that can happen while they’re sitting cooped up on an airplane.”
This was taken from an article from Bloomberg! So what happens when the money line forms will Daddy Delta tell all of its regionals to get out of line? Who determines the starting time of the waiting game? And finally, What will the cost be to the consumer...... bigger government isn't always better! Convenience costs consumers will be the next big headline. Safety suffers.

I can answer one of your questions - the time starts when the main cabin door closes.

It starts when you block out. Here at DAL that is not when the door closes, but when we move. We can sit at the gate for five hrs with the door closed, but once we move an inch we are on the three hr clock.
