Default Isn't it ironic.....

... that two billion dollar companies with thousands of employees, billions in debt, legal hurdles requiring legions of lawyers and accountants can merge, or agree to merge, in the span of a few weeks, but airline labor contracts take 2, 3, 4+ years?

We can thank the RLA & NMB for this. They allow management to use the RLA to abuse us & drag out negotiations in an attempt to wear pilots down. Reference Pinnacle, Spirit, etc.

The irony there is that ALPA was the ones whom originally lobbyed for congrees to pull the airlines under the RLA.
