Default A Mother's Love

This is a story that is both sad and heartwarming. There is nothing quite like a mother's love.

Lots of hard things to deal with here. Global political conflict; what the value an individual life is when reduced in functional capacity to that of a vegetable; the pain a mother must feel for a child who has clearly died a spiritual if not physical death... to name a few. This story cuts across numerous boundaries of journalism, and yet we must feel a connection with the victim because this soldier was out there fighting on our behalf. I am not sure Jay should be kept alive; I rather think maybe he should be let to die. But I admire the family that still cares for him. I think we should take time to realize that men and women like Jay gave their lives so that others like you and I can find a little peace, freedom, and joy on Mother's Day.
