WOW!! I'll tell you what after watching that I don't think I'd own an aerobatic airplane without a BRS on it!!

My Spanish is poor and getting worse all the time. So was the guy alright, no injuries?

That should definately sell some BRS chutes right there. Wonder what caused the fire once it was on the ground, maybe just the dry grass might've caught once that hot engine rested on it.

I wonder if my chute would work like that???

Hopefully I'll NEVER have to find out!

In any case - a great outcome for an unfortunate circumstance.

really strange time for it to break off... basically straight and level. Upside down of course.

Looks like he was inverted and pushing forward. Plus it was a RANS, not exactly an Extra 300. I'd be tempted to say it's a clear case of catostrophic failure from overstress.

I'm amazed that BRS Chute didn't get wrapped around the plane the way it started rolling. I'm even more amazed how gently he came down. Sucks the whole thing caught fire.

Maybe I was talking about my PARACHUTE
In any case, after helping pack one today and get it into the plane - I think I'll only be streaming it when necessary!

Load factor certification for aerobatic planes is +6/-3...wings might not be as strong in the negative direction if the plane was built to certification standards and no better.
