"Studies have indicated that trans fats are responsible for as many as 30,000 premature deaths in the U.S. each year."

Automobile accidents were responsible for 34,000 premature deaths last year. Why isn't the government doing something to ban cars???

I might be wrong but I,m guessing that the auto industry has more sway than the restaurant industry when it comes to fighting regulations that affect their business.
At least Baltimore has'nt gone after happy meals yet

Makes me glad I live in the Midwest, where you are responsible for yourself.

San Francisco has banned Happy Meals.

You would think that a place that is so morally corrupt in just about every other facet of life would not get their panties in such a wad about a Bic Mac and Fries.

Question Trans-Fat

It's an upstart airline offering extra-large seats and plenty of food...

If the government was not involved in car safety...How many premature deaths per year, caused by automobile accidents, do you think there might be?

Unless of course, you live next a river that floods or have a tornado destroy your neighborhood.

Yes, of course, nobody would ever buy a safe car or insurance unless they had been forced to, the roads and valleys would be nothing more than a giant abattoir running red with a river of blood. People just aren't smart enough to make their own choices.

In the last century governments have been the leading cause of unnatural death around the world.
