The good thing though is that we have a lot of staunch conservatives fighting to take our collective bargaining rights away. They say us union pukes make WAY too much money and have too many benefits. I certainly want to see departures/arrivals/intersections named after them, afterall, I'm willing and WANT to see my pay and benefits cut!!!! Yep, the conservatives are on our side all right........ (you sure you're in the right profession????)
btw.........another "conservative", Donald Trump, has a PBI departure named after one of his family members, and he's in the process of SUING PBI for airplane noise over his vacation home.............go figure.

I have a friend who worked at Jeppesen and they would design approach plates and send them to the FAA for approval. They used to have a lot of fun naming intersections. He told me one time they sent a plate with the names ABOVE, BELOW, and LEVEL into the FAA. The plate never got approved...

EPIC FAIL. The conservative you speak of is against GOVERNMENT PUBLIC SERVICE UNIONS. Big difference. If a union at a private company gets too greedy, then the business will not be able to compete in the market place. In other words, capitalistic forces take over. However, government unions compete with nobody. They can hold the public at large hostage until they get what they want. Taxes will continue to go up to support their ever higher and higher contracts. Nothing keeps them in check. That is what this issue is about. I've seen this first hand where I used to live. I just couldn't justify paying $850/month in LOCAL taxes for a modest single family home. And this wasn't Boardwalk or Parkplace. It was rural America Pennsylvania. Wake up EWR ... our states and local communities are defaulting because they don't have the money to pay what they promised.
