[/I went to Baylor University and they sent us one to the aviation department to find out what the problem was. It ended up being that when the airforce ordered them they upgraded the engine but the fuel system was upgraded and the engine kept getting starved for air. In the other cases they were T38 pilots just yanking the wing off after the airforce cut budgets and they tried to do more with them than they were supposed to. I'd personally love to fly one.

I had a feeling it was somthing along those lines.

I found one in Trade-A-Plane for around $90k. Even if they get ten grand worth of beer cans out of each one they srcap, that's still 10 million dollars worth of good clean fun down the drain. Unbelievable.

I made a typo now that I read what I wrote. They had the bigger engines put in and they weren't getting the proper FUELflow not AIRflow.

Default T-3 getting chopped

Duck-

Thanks for the report. I have to admit I'm not in the market for a $90,000 airplane (lucky if I could afford a $9000 car right now) but frustrating to see money getting thrown away like that.

and I figured that was what you ment about FUEL, not AIR. 'nuff said.
