Are you a Mac fan? What do you need the device to do?

I am still using my Droid. It was one of the original ones with the useless slide out keyboard. I have been pretty happy with it, however, I am/was leaning toward the iphone when my current contract expires now that Verizon has the iphone. I understand the latest iteration of the Droid is pretty sweet so I may have to rethink it.

Samsung Galaxy droids are a year old and still kick ASS, every company has a version of the Galaxy (vibrant, ETC.) The new droids do no more

My family has both Droids and iPhones. It all depends what's important to you.

iPhone - tons more apps. Go with Verizon unless you like dropped calls.

Droid (esp. Evo & Thunderbolt) - 4G speed, bigger screen. Sprint's unlimited plan is pretty cheap.

Me, I love my HTC Evo (Droid) on Sprint, but battery life sucks, so carry spare batteries! I've heard Thunderbolt is a little better battery.

Funny this popped up as I was trying to decide the same thing today.
Which one is better as far as pilot apps? (or is it even worth getting all that on a smartphone when I have a netbook already?)

If you fly international and want email overseas, then the good ol' Blackberry seems to still be the best.

Surfing the web is about the same in my opinion between the iPhone and Droid.

The iPhone is definately the choice for apps.

I have had the iPhone 4 with AT&T since january and love it. The quality is great and it seamlessly works with iTunes. There are a ton of pilot apps and it will work overseas if you need it to. I recommend Netflix for 8 bucks a month as well. Great for sitting reserve or when you are bored at home.
