Freedom of speech only applies to liberals and atheists.

That is funny stuff. Hope he doesn't catch too much crap for it, and sure makes you look back at all those different convos we all have had that could have potentially ended in similar fashion. Check your mic is right.
He will be a hero to pilots not so much for what he said but how he said it.

No kidding.

As to the "wanna get away?"

My favorite to date was the little boy pulling on the brides big white dress and saying "my mom said she can't believe you wore white today."

Oh, you know that's happened.

If only the sensitive love children knew what most people said in the privacy of their own homes.

Their heads would explode.

At least he feels the same way about his FA's as we do. Except it sounds like he may partake. hence the word "moped" being used.

I remember when I was building time for my commercial certificate, I flew my mom in a C-152 from the ATL area down to Tallahassee and back. On the return, this guy in a bonanza got a stuck mic on freq. The dialog was absolutely classic, but not something I wanted my mom to hear! He very eloquently described tapping this chick after the bar the previous night. I kept turning the freq down lower and lower, only for my mom to go "wait what are they talking about?"

"I don't know, Mom."

I say we burn the guy at the stake.

This was a private conversation that was accidentally broadcast. People still have the right to private speech...even if the speech is boorish.

Carl, you don't have the right to free speech while at work and even furthermore while in a cockpit. If you sit and fire away sexual and racial slurs in the cockpit that is NOT covered by free speech. Co-workers have rights in the work place and maybe the FO doesn't want to listen to it. Maybe the FO is gay? You think the Capt is still exercising appropriate "free speech" as you call it?

This is what is at stake here. Thankfully most guys I fly with have more discretion.

A comment here or there...whatever. But this guy was going off and completely ignorant to the fact that the freq went silent.
