A whole day's worth
The Pima Air Museum used to offer a package which included a Davis-Monthan "Boneyard" tour and admission to the Titan Missile Museum (several miles south of Tucson). Here's a link:

I think at Davis-Monthan, the aircraft were kept in different categories...
1. To be parted out and recycled 2. Eventually/possibly return to flying status 3. Turned into drones (for example QF-4) 4. Eventually go to a museum or static display I know that you can get a bus tour as mentioned previously, or you can also get a photo flight from the Tucson airport. |
