Default Priceline Rewards

Anyone out there use Priceline for hotels, etc? I have been commuting to work every week and really didn't like the idea of using a crash pad. I started bidding hotels and getting good rates on decent hotels (2 star). Started figuring out certain hotels bottom dollar, and have been winning rooms at a new extended stay for $21/night. Also, they have these little 24 hour deals where whatever you bid, they add $5/night to your price. So I've won for $16 out of my pocket a few times. Still not as cheap as a crash pad option, but I think the privacy is worth it.

Anyway, I ended up applying for the Priceline Visa card which earns you points for each purchase made. Wanted to know if anyone else does this and could shed some light on what these points can actually do for you? Do they transfer into a dollar amount that you can deduct from your monthly bill? I imagine you would have to accumulate A LOT of points before you can actually use them for anything. I just can't really find anything on the FAQ that states how exactly you use them.
