Android pilot logbook app
I have just released a 'Red Book' replacement application for Android users. It is available in the Android Market through the following link:
https://market.android.com/details?i...ilot.elog.beta
You can also find it on your Android phone by going to the Market application and doing a search for 'Pilot eLog'.
This application is currently free during its beta version phase. It has a trip import feature for Continental Airlines pilots and I would be happy to work with any pilots from other airlines to extend this feature to them as well. Eventually, the full version (when released) will cost $4.99.
Please download it for free and let me know what you think.
The name of the application is: Pilot eLog
Contact me directly: [email protected]
Thanks,
Ken

Love the TAF & Metar function -- saves the hassle of multiple steps using the browser to accomplish the same thing.
Just put one trip in so far, but it looks like a great way to keep a record. Scheduled vs. actual would be nice (no dig there, just trying to give helpful feedback) - but as a log of actual time that you can track while on the go, this app is great.
Would definitely love to see an import for Flica.
Thanks!

squaretail,
Thank you for your interest and time.
Adding the scheduled times is something I have thought about doing but decided against for the simple fact that I personally don't need them after I finish the trip. I import my trip and view the scheduled times till I fly the leg, then I enter the actual times to save for future reference. If this is something that enough people want I will be glad to add it.
Flica is something I would consider adding in the future. First, I would like to extend the trip import feature to some other airlines because this is truly what I believe makes this app useful. If you would like to help me extend this for pilots that work for your airline please let me know.

The comments box is a good edition. Just finished a trip using the logbook for a trip - great for recording flight conditions as they occur. A few more trips and, hopefully, I will be able to give you some useful feedback!
