Default Manhattan crash was deliberate...?

That's my opinion. An airplane out of control goes close to straight down into the ground. The odds of hitting a building, let alone a 50 story one, is very very remote.

The talking heads on TV are feeding us again a bunch of speculation, NONE of which includes the very real and likely possibility that this was a suicide crash.

Another guess on my part is that it was aimed at a former lover or boss.

Geeze. This is the 6th or 7th person that has come up with a "intentional" speculation. Accidents happen and airplanes crash (almost daily). The only reason that this is so big in the media is because it hit a building in a major city.

CNN is reporting that it was NOT INTENTIONAL. The plane was apparently a Cirrus SR20, registered to Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle, and departed from Teterboro airport. His passport has been reportedly found in the street below the accident, and initial reports indicate he was traveling to florida in his aircraft for the off season.

They have also reported that the flight declared a Mayday on the radio prior to impact with an apparent fuel problem.

And the fact that a plane hits a building means that it's automatically a "revenge" plot??? Come on people. Accidents happen. There's hundreds of them a year.

I'll agree that the news gets it wrong (a lot), but I'm a hell of a lot more likely to believe reporting on any news channel than some skeptic saying it was some "wacko" hell bent on showing a thing or two to the ex-wife.

Ummm what news are you guys reading? From what I'm reading they issued a distress cloud and were possibly flying in IFR conditions and broke out of the clouds near the building.

The real question should be why he didn't pop his shute?

“I just saw something come across the sky and crash into that building,” she said. Cha said there appeared to be smoke coming from behind the aircraft, and “it looked like it was flying erratically for the short time that I saw it.”

If it was suicide it would have been a strait in.

One thing is for sure, it's one less SCAB in the world which is always a good thing. Screw him and those like him.

Screw you idiot...And while you are eating sh&t, grow up and just do your damn job. I am not a scab myself, but talking the way you do makes me wish that I was one so I would have a reason to kick your A$$ silly.

Somebody died today and he was a fellow pilot, but just because he was a scab at one time you want to spit on hs grave...What a disgrace.

When was he a scab? On a side note: I too feel the same way about scabs; and those bleeding hearts who support them

Cory Lidle crossed the MLB picket line in 1995, in baseball as in the airlines, once a SCAB always a SCAB.
