Default Strongbags?

Thinking about getting the Strongbags Vortex 2 "Ocean Crosser." Does anybody have any experience with Strongbags? How durable? Heavy?
Thanks.

I have a Strongbag. I'm not sure what model it is. I know its appropriately sized to be a carry-on. So far so good...no issues...durable....light...the zippers are much better IMO than the Luggage Works bag I used to have. Hope that helps.

+1. Mine's the carry-on size as well. It's a little lighter than the LW bag, and so far it has held up better. Downside of course is that it's made overseas, but it's a good product.

I have 3 carcasses of luggage works bags, I don't think I'll buy another and it costs as almost as much as a new one for the HMV. These days I'm happy with the $99 Costco bag - works great lasts long time.

Yes, it's the best choice if you're flying domestically - or get back home often. You can just get it replaced periodically - for free. My gig involves (ideally) being gone 5+ months at a time. Yeah, I can buy a new bag if this one breaks, but it'll be an overpriced pos; it's better if the one I have holds up. There ain't no Costcos over here.
