Reminds me of an old episode of the Simpsons where homer goes down the skate ramp Bart set up, the fell down the cliff once, dragged up on a stretcher and dropped again.

Haha, I remember watching that live 20+ years ago. It is from the second season, when he jumped Springfield Gorge. Classic.

It looks like he stuck the landing, the spoilers fail to deploy, he gets some air, then he makes a nice save by wrestling it back to the tarmac. Hey, who said flying was easy?

I was seriously considering learning to Kite Surf (sail) once when I was at a catamaran regatta about 4 years ago in Cocoa Beach. We were on the beach watching a bunch of Kite guys having great fun out in the surf, jumping over waves. I said to my Crew, "Man, I think I'd like to learn to do that!"

There was a guy about 50 feet away rigging up in the sand, kite up, walking towards the water. Along comes a big on-shore gust. I watched as he got launched, straight up and back towards the parking lot!

He landed on the hood of someone's car, hard, car alarm goes off. He bounced back up and flew out towards the road! He was finally able to get to the release and fall from 10 feet up, into the grass just before he hit the pavement.

I looked at my crew and said, "Remind me never to try that!"
