Have you seen all of the negative "dislikes" this History of Aviation video has received. People are claiming it's too american.

I think people are a little too uptight about it.

We're doing a little advertising here aren't we? That's a cool animation you have there and it is correct historically in terms of aviation history. Being partial to aviation history I think we can look the other way a bit on the advertising policy here and enjoy the show. Someone worked awful hard on that, it's a nice video.

I never heard of Richard Pearse until moving to New Zealand. Actually met his nephew (a WWII vet who held the same name).
Kiwis take pride in being the first to invent powered flight (albeit not controlled).
From what I've heard, Brazilians claim Alberto Santos-Dumont was first also:

Incredible video, someone must have put a lot of work into it.
I just didn't know it was an advertisement and that was kind of hard bridge between history and Utah Valley's Aviation program without a "what history will you see?" kind of comment. The other UVU videos look really good, looks like a nice program and a great campus.
Curious about the rather new looking static display on campus?
And what's the controversy about?
