travel backpack ?
In the market for a travel backpack and wanted to ask the forum. I have narrowed it down to Northface, Timbuk2, 511 Tactical, and Osprey brands.
Purpose will be day trips with kids (with water bottles, bandaids, snack bars, extra change of clothes, etc) to park, museum, Disneyland, etc stuff.
Also will be used for 2-3 day work related trips, as carry-on.
Thoughts ?

Get the Mountain Lumber by Northface, it comes with two shoulder straps, not just the one side shoulder in the picture. You will avoid the sweaty back and the weight in on your waist.
Have fun!

This weeks captain had a black northface daypack. I liked it. It's just the right size for our last required jepp binder, iPad and headset with some room left over. Although we joke about the backpack RJ guy, I see tons of delta bubbas with a black backpack slung over a rollerboard. Why buy an airline only expensive bag from the flight station when you can have a multipurpose bag? With the hole in my current bag getting bigger each week I'll soon be joining the mainline pilot backpack brigade.

no this is not for carrying around into the cockpit, etc stuff aka "Generation Y RJ Pilot"
legit question, mostly gonna be for going to park with kids, museums, etc. I am age 41 not age 21
thanks
** secondary use will be work but what I mean is, I don't want a Dora the Explorer bag for off-duty because I can't take it on-duty. I want a good bag that can be used in both environments (if I am gonna be spending my money.....)
