My, how our reality has changed. A person in the article said he did not have facebook so he had to "wait for email photos". How quickly we have changed our mindset on what is slow. We will have to see if this information overload will wear on our children's mental health, or if they can keep up.

KLM uses facebook for 'meet and seat' program. Google users will be forced to use conventional "hi, my name is" method of greeting fellow passengers.

I happily quit FB about a month ago. Best thing I ever did. I made sure I had the contact info of the people I actually liked before i quit.

The newer generation has already changed. I belong to a fraternal organization at our local fire company. Most of the new members are 20 year olds. These guys date, socialize, and even hook up using nothing but their cell phone and Facebook. Their entire life is in that phone. And try as hard as you want, they WILL NOT answer their phone nor carry a voice conversation.

I've also noticed they are ignoring standard text messages and now want to only use Facebook Messenger or Twitter.

Whereas you and I had a couple of really close friends growing up, they have hundreds of acquaintances and very few of them really get to know one another.

In some industries they would call the job Morgan Stanley did on this IPO fluffing, and as everyone knows, one can only fluff so much.

There is usually a lot of fat skimmed off the top on any IPO, but this was quite exceptional.
