Airport Food
I spend a fair amount of time traveling and in airports, as do all of you, and I'm just curious about your favorite and least favorite airport cuisine.
I was recently in the United terminal at PHX and the food offerings were pathetic. Pre-made day old sandwiches, no thanks. I may be a bit spoiled with SFO's selection of food, ORD has a few good offerings, and the Cantina upstairs at the United terminal in DEN usually doesn't disappoint me.
I want some advice and opinions on airport food, in both domestic and international destinations. Your opinions and tips will be appreciated, as I can pass them on to my clients, as well as use them myself.

The only place I have eaten at is the pretzel place in the Austin airport in the US.. Rome's Fiumicino had alot of awesome places to eat. I don't recall any of their names but pretty much anywhere is good. Ohh I had a sandwich from some shop in EWR that was pretty good, but don't remember the name. sorry Airport food is too expensive just like everything else they sell in them... FCO wasn't too bad on prices and it was all pretty good. Except for the pizza because it was american style pizza and not the thin slices..

Worst Chinese food in USA - Seattle airport in terminal B. I have tried it many times hoping it will get better. It never has!!!

Right on target. I sooo wish there was decent Chinese food in SEA. I've tried that place too and it sucks. However, the new Wolfgang pucks express in terminal C is great. Also, SEA has a huge new mall style food court between the B and C gates. It is also really great. PDX has a good food selection also.

I haven't eaten there in a while (and the kitchen seems to be open when they feel like it), but KBRO (Brownsville, TX) has breakfast tacos as big as footballs! Yummy and they can carry you through your second meal

As far as the poster who suggested brown-bagging it. That's a fine idea and I'm happy that you have a great wife, but I don't have a great wife, and brown-bagging becomes a challenge when one is living out of their suitcase in a hotel.
Sometimes when you're on the go, airport food is your only option, and I thought that this thread might be appreciated by those of us who travel.

River City cafe and Capers Grill in PDX are pretty good. The Garden State Diner in EWR by C84-ish is okay, some pretty decent options on the C3 pier in EWR as well.

Nah, I'm just being a smarta$$ to that post which apparently has been removed. Although hard-working gals should also have a "wife" around to pack their lunch and make them chicken soup when they're home sick with a cold....although I'd prefer a houseboy myself . I could use a houseboy and some chicken soup today as a matter of fact.
