He's probably going to be surprised that Air Force One doesn't have windows that roll down either.

My aircraft windows open with a crank.

That said, it is amazing what some public figures say when speaking outside their area of expertise, like the economy or history just as an example.

I'd say that most of us would fumble a question about the venture capital world if asked off the cuff. Big surprise that he doesn't know about airplanes, that makes the guy a 99% in that regard.

actually his point about evacuating smoke isn't so crazy for a landlubber. The only way we can do that in our plane (besides emer depress) is open the lav sink drain

How about commenting on the douche of a writer - good lord... He's one to talk about anything knowledgeable...

I can't wait for the election to be over. I'm tired of hearing everyone's comments being taken so literally.

I experienced and in-flight fire without a suitable place to land. It was aweful. I can relate to what he is saying. As aircrew, I was lucky enough to have 100% oxygen where the dixiecups in the back do not.

I am typed on at least transport category aircraft where you slow down, go down, and open up the cockpit windows for ventilation.

What he suggested isn't that crazy of a thought!

This. I can't imagine some of the idiotic things we'd say if the tables were turned.
