Default Canon Powershot SX260 - comments ?

My ultra slim Canon 780 point and shoot, is showing its age. I have had a few occasions (sports, school plays, etc) where I simply needed a little more optical zoom. Plus I like new toys.

Being a Canon "guy" (I can't relearn new menus etc on another brand), I have found that this model is a top seller on Amazon and highly rated.

Canon U.S.A. : Consumer & Home Office : PowerShot SX260 HS

Let me say, dorky as it sounds, I like to carry a camera on my belt at all times, every day, for any cool shots I can take.

If anyone has this camera, if they can share their opinion.

Thanks

They updated this model several times since it came out in about 2008, and I had a prior iteration that I really liked. You can't go wrong, it is a lot of camera for few hundred bucks.

I picked up this one and while a little bulky (DSLR size) it has been a good go to camera to keep in the flight case.

Amazon.com: Fujifilm FinePix HS35EXR 16 MP Digital Camera with 3-Inch LCD (Black): Electronics

It has some good reach for air to air shots as well.
