Default Maybe...just maybe a real 757 replacement?

I don't advise holding your breath, but perhaps we will see some development of an aircraft that truly replaces (I don't think it should have been replaced, but thats just me) the 757.

Count me as one of the legion of 757 fans. Great looks, great performance...just needs some updated avionics and a better fuel burn. Is that such a hard thing to achieve?

IMNHO, the 737-900ER isn't the 757 replacement it was sold as.

The 757 is a great bird indeed. It's too bad it has been forgotten and not updated like is happening with the 737 max etc.

Would have been nice to shut down the guppy line and make a bunch of different 757's.

The 757 is a real "Bucket List" airplane to fly!!
If you are lucky, you can take it into some crazy locations!!
Not the everyday Hub.
Like the post above mentioned......ya can't get an Airbus/737 into many of the airports the 757 services!
If you are Very lucky, you can ferry one with ferry fuel!!! <Can you say Steroids?!

It also needs much lower maintenance costs and the ability to use standard narrow body support equipment.
