That one is nitrous injected, so what does a stock C7 do? 150?

lol, with 440hp or whatever and that small of a cross section, probably around 190 if the conditions are right and the road is straight/long enough (quick research reveals the C6 did 186-193 depending on which engine/transmission). My car with 430 will do around 175, but it has the aerodynamics of a brick. Thing is up at those speeds it starts taking an ungodly amount of HP for a relatively small increase in top speed, so it might take an extra 100hp to get 5 more mph, 200hp for another 5, and so on.

Drag accrues with the square of forward speed, so that makes sense. You also start needing negative lift for tire adhesion at ~150 or so leading to additional drag penalty. The 911s/Caymans have pop up spoilers to smooth the air off the back, I would think this car had some pretty extensive wind tunnel work. Even so, if the spoiler does not adjust then it is probably not the lowest drag possible.

Love it. I'm anxious to see the 2015 Z06.

Good point. Would have been cooler/more impressive if they had used a Charger Daytona or a Plymouth Superbird.

Yes, but the corvette does well due to it's small frontal area, C6 owners getting 29-30mpg. The C6 ZR-1 is also like a "brick" in the air, with a crazy high Cd compared to the regular C6, due to all the cooling vents and the aerodynamics you mentioned. Lots going on underneath cars like that too.

I had a stock 94 vette at 155mph back in 96. Most vettes c4 and newer will have no problem hitting 150+.
