Pilot Shirts
I have been buying/using work shirts from Pilot House for many years and have always been very satisfied with their high quality product. Recently, I ordered another "batch" of five shirts (all the same model). I received one shirt and was advised that the other four were backordered.
The shirt I received was identical to ones I had purchased in the past from Pilot House, very well constructed in Canada of a heavy 65% cotton/45% polyester fabric, with a nice, stiff, straight collar.
When I received the other four shirts in my order I was quite surprised. Although the same model, these shirts were made of a much lighter, higher poly fabric (65% poly, I believe), the collars were wrinkled all around the edge stitching, and in 3 of 4 shirts the collars were asymmetrical (one point longer than the other by 1/8"). When I put a necktie on and aligned it properly with the collar, the tie pointed off to one side. Also, these new shirts were made in Costa Rica (not an issue in itself).
I contacted Pilot House and their representative said they had problems with their Canadian supplier, had changed vendors, but were very pleased with the new product. I told them I was not, that they may have a quality control issue, and returned the poorly constructed shirts.
I then tried to post a review of the shirt on the Pilot House website (with essentially the same info as above) to warn repeat buyers of this model shirt that the product had changed and was not what they were accustomed to buying in the past. Pilot House apparently exercised their stated right to "moderate" reviews and did not allow my review to appear on their website, so Pilot House customers were none the wiser. I found this censoring of a review to the potential detriment of customers unacceptable. Thus this post.
So, if you're a repeat buyer of the Pilot House Model TOVS shirt (and probably other similar PH models) be warned: their product has changed for the worse!
Also, if anyone has a recommendation for a high quality pilot shirt (short sleeve, high cotton content, non button-down collar, with and without eyelets for wings) I would welcome it. Thanks!

Pilot House (pilotshirts.com) has been going down the toilet since last year. Your treatment is just further evidence of that fact.

Thanks for the replies and the tip on Aero Phoenix and link to the other Pilot House thread.
Sounds like PH needs a refresher on the value of a quality quality and good customer service (particularly in this age of social media, forums, etc.).
