I always wished I had gone for the job working in the women's department at Nordstrom.

One has a predatory management which has bankrupted their company but pays its employees a good wage. The other has a trusted management and good employee relations yet pays considerably less. Why is it so hard to imagine regional pukes have actually helped build a good company?
