I dispute that notion.
I know they considered the Revolutionaries traitors. But there is a big difference between "terrorist" and "traitor".
For example, anyone who thinks the Revolutionary War was fought over taxes doesn't know their history. Taxation without representation was simply the match that lit the fuse. Specifically, the Boston Tea Party was not an act of "terrorism", it was an act of defiance. No one was hurt or killed in the act, either. In fact, there were several such "tea parties", and no one was killed or injured in any of them.
Lastly, citing Wikipedia? PUH-LEASE. It is well known and established fact that Wikipedia is an unreliable and all-too-often partisan source of information. All one need do is look at Madam Inevitable's wiki page to see the truth of this.

No you are saying it was not an evil war? All wars are evil.
Whatever, all your points are just your opinions. But you know the truth. Good for you.

This is why I hate this forum these days. This thread started out as a post about the explosion in China but devolved into a couple of guys arguing about opinions of what is terrorism and bla bla bla. How about you take it to the PM section and argue among yourselves.

Sorry Mike. I forgot that only Jon Stewart fans get to use snark and sarcasm relative to the news of the day. His fans take great exception and fight hard to maintain their double standards.

You are right about that. Apologizes.

Also, this thread is way off-topic, so as mike734 recommended, shoot me a PM if you want to discuss it further.
This should get us back on track
Look at the sway on them trees and bushes after the second explosion. Intense!

For perspective:
The crude nuclear device dropped on Hiroshima was the equivalent of 15 tons of TNT.
The 2nd China blast has been estimated (depending on source) to be the equivalent of 20-to-21 tons of TNT.

Safety and China don't fit in the same sentence. I've been there several times in a previous life and this is what I saw and what occurred while i was there. On-ramps w/o guard-rails, chipping concrete off buildings several floors up over pedestrian heads. People running across highways pushing wheel barrows, welding w/o eye protection and above pedestrians, welding in a stairwell full of discarded newspapers and refuse, trucks spilling their contents on the road due to lack of or unlatched tailgates, exploding gas cylinders used for cooking, fire exits blocked with junk and old furniture, discovery that that a train trestle was made with improper concrete, medicines stored in very high temperatures which made loads of kids sick, live fowl stored in kitchens--avian flu 1. Rotting garbage everywhere and especially dumped on rooftops from other high rise buildings. And no. 1, a refrigerator discarded by dropping from the upper floor of a high-rise building!

I know......I know.........SOMEONE is gonna chime in with "well, I've been to India AND China and I didn't see ANY OF THAT!!!!!!"
Get out of the touristy areas, get out of the shiny/window dressed areas and those that have economically benefitted.
That's like taking someone from outside the U.S. and showing them the nicest parts of Manhattan. THEN take them to what the South Bronx or Bed Stuy was, or whatever the crappiest areas of NYC are now days.
