KDOV: Engine Shop Closing
After more than 40 years, Dover Air Force Base’s Jet Engine Shop is preparing to shut its doors.
Thousands of engines have moved through the shop since 1971, helping the workspace build a widespread reputation. Military members and civilians stood alongside one another to repair engine flaws and make the machines flight-worthy once more.
“It’s a 45-year legacy,” aircraft engine supervisor Kevin Morrow said. “It really is. It’s a storied legacy.”

I really hate to learn news like this, regardless of cause or justification.

The article stated they were down to 25 workers that will be reassigned, the TF39s did the job for a long time, but it was time to move on, If I remember they only put out around 42000 of thrust when the max TO weight was 772000/ 840000 with a long enough runway GF may remember
