The Bose aren't needed in the CRJ or ERJ. I use the company provided DCs in the ERJ. They have no noise reduction and I can hear everything just fine. The CRJ is considerably quieter up front.

If you're thinking about going to a regional then remember this. You're going to get chicken feed for pay your first year. The last thing you want to do is rack up a bill going in. I know some people who just had to have the $250 flight case, $300 bags, and run out and get their own headsets putting them over $1k. Now add the credit card interest. What's the point? Now they can't afford to do anything because those are just added bills they are trying to pay off. Sooner or later you'll need to realize you need to live within your means. I spent around $100(no joke) and my Samsonite bag is still in great shape and my flight case is still rocking along. Figure making around $300 a week and see if all that can be budgeted in.
