Sweet for Boeing; Sour for American workers.

Neutral for airlines....I doubt a "Walmart Boeing" would be cheaper than one from Seattle.

Inevitable. Alarming at the same time. Except that for a few vocal opponents in Everett, who won't get heard, no one is alarmed. Egg foo yong, right in the face.

China will buy lots of airliners, in exchange they want technology transfer so they can learn how to do it themselves cheaper. Managers are only looking at near-term sales and stock performance, don't really care about 20-30 years out.

Are you referring to the trip in '72?

As the article suggests, Airbus announcement of a second assembly plant likely sealed the deal. Logistical supply chains over there will grow. Multinationals playing geopolitical cards? Absolutely.
