92 set,

The ultimate objective of these people criticizing Bush's response ad nauseum is to break the Bush presidency.

Once you realize that, you won't take them or their arguments too seriously.

I'll answer that. I expect mostly right wing wacko will respond. Most pilots I fly with are right wingers so that is what I expect.

I wonder Ninety Two, are you one of the 40% who feel the president is doing a good job? Yes? Thought so. You are in the minority. IMO he is the worst president this country has ever had. He is certainly the stupidest. The man can barely put together a coherent sentence. Do you know why? "Because it's hard!" said the idiot. Well I say, "The king has no clothes."

How do you define a great president? I don't ask this as a challenge, I honestly can't consider him great based on his performance here and abroad. What am I missing? A man doesn't have to a great public speaker, hell I'm not, but there does need to be something there. The only response I ever get from Bush supporters is that I must be a left-wing commie bleeding heart liberal (and other name calling) but never a lucid laundry list of what the man has done to make him great...or even acceptable.

One thing we both can agree on is that this topic probably shouldn't be on an this forum, after all, at the end of the day we do have a lot more in common with each other than not.

Cheers

Here's a snippet:
President Bush flew to the storm-ravaged Gulf Coast for a daylong tour of devastation yesterday and agreed that the results of his administration's response to Hurricane Katrina have been "not acceptable,"amid a surge of denunciations from political leaders in both parties.
OK, off to the beer joint!

Okay then. All done. Good job Mr. President. Now off for more vacation.

BTW That Surge of denunciations also came from the right. That is why he used the term "not acceptable."

Default President Bush ?

Perhaps you guys are right. Kill Bill has been warning us about the scab invasion and Geroge W. Bush has done nothing ! Perhaps he is a scab? George is not a perfect man in an imperfect situation. He has had more than his share of challenges. I am sure that anyone in his stiuation would have some faults. I always thought that airline pilots were conservative. Where did you guys come from?

Yes these were Federal issues because bey there attacks on the country by people of another country. New Orleanse should not be rebuilt by standards. If it is then it's the responsibility of its inhabitants. In all fairness it is an unwise decision. Intentionally placing one's self into harms way on such a level does not deserve federal attention. Now helping clean up after a hurricane hits such as with Mississippi and LA, as well as the times with florida, are warranted because it is a natural disaster. However a dike breaking and then blaming the Federal Gov't is extremely stupid when they are unrelated... 200 thousand people are in Texas within a week. It took us longer to get to Iraq and that was premeditated.

10.5 billion of tax payers money is going to an area that should have been evacuated a long time ago. It will now cost the gov't. more if they decide to rebuild then it is worth.
