The China market hasn’t materialized as quickly as they thought since they started back in 2014 or whenever they started. The suspension of service allows for better aircraft usage in markets where the Hawaii vacation is strong. The airbus sits in PEK for about 19hrs waiting for the return flight. Hawaiian tried to get better slot times in PEK, but unable due to the amount of traffic. Hawaiian plans to fly back to China at some point in the future, but there’s still a lot of work to do to educate Chinese people about the Hawaii vacation. Hawaiian is still keeping their sales office and business relations in China to eventually return.

Xi and Trump’s trade tariff war killed the freight, which killed the break-even revenue?

Its been losing money for 4 years. No point in continuing the bleeding.
AA pulled two routes out of China for the same reason.

Yes we changed our website.. or were atleast planning on it. This was not in any way related to the Chinese/Taiwan website issues

Maybe it's going too well and HAL and PEK are just practicing the "pullout method".
