New regional sub-forums

Might be time to do what was done in the majors section in the regional section. The entire front page are just megathreads about a few airlines that have dozens of pages. Can't sort the information properly.

Agreed, +1

Think it would be a great idea, it would make searching for answers easier, easier to browse

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Interesting! How would we be doing that? We have many more regional airlines than major, and we fear that it would be very hard for users to get access to the threads/posts if we list all the regional airlines...

Thread structure feedback

Granted the change in the Regional main thread.

Are there other changes to the thread/category structure of the Community that you'd think we should be considering?

Thank you!

Here is my suggestion. Sub-forums for regionals that have 500 pilots or more. That would be 13 of the 25 listed. (As a comparision, Majors have 8, which may one day become 10 if Frontier and Allegiant get added).

Here would be my proposed list:
Air Wisconsin
Compass
Endeavor
Envoy
ExpressJet
GoJet
Horizon
Mesa
Piedmont
PSA
Republic
SkyWest
Trans State

This would cover 95% of the pilots. My guess 80% of the threads (there are always some general topics plus the smaller regionals).

Your thoughts?

In my opinion, as time goes on, the number of sub-forums will stay at 13 or reduce. No other airlines are close to the 500 pilot threshold. It is hard to envision a startup that would grow to 500 pilots. Regionals will go out of business or merge as the majors recruiting kicks into high gear in the years ahead. Again, just my thoughts.

Or group them like this..... For example:

(TSA, GoJet, and Compass)
Skywest
ExpressJet
Endeavor
Republic
(Envoy, PSA, and PDT)
Mesa
Air Wisconsin
Horizon

Should we be adding Frontier and Allegiant to Majors?

I like it. Thank you for taking the time to share!
I think 13 is a long list, but still a manageable number. I'll play w/ my internal UI/UX team and run the idea around and I'll get back to you soon. Like, in a week or so. Thank you again. Nick
