Saudia hiring on the E-170, MD-90, and 747 Classic
Check this out:
http://www.saudiairlines.com/aboutus...captains_1.jsp
I worked at Saudia in 98/99 when the MD-90 was introduced into service. I didn't actually work for them, but flew the line with them as a line check airman. The MD-90 flying was pretty good. There are quite a few domestic destinations and their pilots were pretty sharp. I worked an average of 4 days per week and played golf the other 3. Since it was short term I didn't really mind living there, but long term it might be a bigger issue with family, etc. Great diving in the Red Sea.
The Dollar to Riyal conversion is 1USD=3.75 Riyals.

Let me see if I have this straight:
B-747 Classic Capt pay is 19,587.00 Ryls
At todays exchange rate it computes out to 5,220.13 per month which turns into 62641.56 per year. For taking total responsibility of the largest commerical aircraft in the skies with 300 plus people on board???!!!
I must be missing something here. There can not be that little respect for piloting skills in this market.
Regards,
Walt

Yea, the pay quoted seems quite low. When I was there the 747-400 guys were making well over $150,000 per year and I was offered a deal that was over $108,000 per year tax free to be an instructor on the MD-90.

The baseline MD-90s use Honeywell, but I'm not sure what the model designation is. I can look when I get back home.

Thank you very much...Pegasus is what I suspected...I was thinking 9100 for the model number of the Honeywell, but I wanted to confirm that ....if you had the chance to look and let me know I'd greatly appreciate it.......in case you have any curiosity at all about my question I'm attempting to model a FMS system in flight simulator for the MD-90....I needed to confirm what I was looking for so that I could then seek out technical documents....thanks again
