Generally speaking, Ab Initio programs are for national airlines like British Airways, Lufthansa, Emirates, Singapore, etc. To qualify you need to be a citizen of that particular country and pass a very competitive selection process. It is a great program if you qualify and can pass the selection process.
No U.S. major airline has anything like that. The regionals that advertise using those terms are just trying to sucker you in to pay their training academies a lot of money. A true Ab Initio program like the overseas carriers have costs you nothing ( other than a lengthy committment of time ).

USAF , USN, USMC - they all have excellent ab initio programs and will cost you nothing except 10 years in service of your country...They are selective. Good luck.
