Default Border Patrol Question

Does anyone know what type of aircraft the border patrol flies. I heard one of their fleet types is a DHC-8 but I do not know how many they use. Is it a 200 series or other. Does the border patrol hire pilots off the street or do you have to be an officer first?

Thumbs up

Check out aptap.forumco.com for all of your CBP Air questions. CBP Air does have a couple of -8's, I think in P.R. & maybe Miami...not to sure though. They are currently hiring off of the street for pilots. Check out www.usajobs.com and do a search for GS-2181...that's the job series code for pilot and apply online. GOOD LUCK!!!

Wink Have Kevlar will Fly

Do they provide protective equipment for large caliber rounds? Or do you have to source your own body armor?
