I have a friend who works over there as a CA on the EMB145 Legacy and he loves it! He left XJT to take this job a few years ago.

Isn't this the place that lost the legacy in S. America?

Well it wasn't totally lost, just lost the winglet and suffered releated wing damage. But yes, it is that company.

OK well in that case a buddy of mine was hired (from XJT) into that company, before his two weeks were up at XJT they were calling him asking him to do 135 trips and he hadn't done any training at all. He ended up calling them back and saying thanks but no thanks. He said it seemed shady. The $$ was good but he didn't get a good vibe. YMMV.

one of my ground instructors went there as well and ended up upgrading in a very short time...

I know two former emplyees from excelAir, Both stated that mission comes first, regs and safety second. Stick and carrot are in full play. That being said, If I needed a job and had the quals I'd be first in line.

Call it what you want, but the FAA calls the whole series the EMB-145. Just like the type rating on my certificate. :D
